Indian Navy Sailor MR Recruitment 2021 : Apply online for 350 Sailor Matric Recruit (MR) posts in Indian Navy : Indian Navy has given an employment notification for the unmarried men for recruitment of Sailor for Matric Recruit (MR) . Those Candidates who are interested to the following vacancies and completed all eligibility criteria i.e. education qualification, age limit etc. can read the notification & Apply online.
Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates (who fulfill eligibility conditions as laid down by the Government of India) for enrolment as sailors MR for 350 vacancies (Approximately) in the Oct 2021 batch. The vacancies will be earmarked in a state-wise manner. For the total of 350 vacancies, approximately 1750 candidates will be called for written examination and Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The cut off marks for appearing in written examination may vary from state to state.

Indian Navy Sailor MR Recruitment 2021 Job Specifications :
- Chef : They would be required to prepare food as per menu (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian including handling of meat products) and accounting of ration. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
- Steward : They would be required to serve food in the officers’ messes, as waiters, housekeeping, accounting of funds, wine and stores, preparation of menu etc. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
- Hygienist : They will be required to clean washroom, shower spaces and other areas. In addition, they will also be allotted other duties as per Service requirement.
Educational Qualification :
The candidate must have passed their Matriculation Examination or 10th exam from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
Age Limit :
- Minimum Age : 17 Years
- Maximum Age : 20 Years
- The candidate should be born Between 01 April 2001 to 30 September 2004 and not before or after that.
Indian Navy Sailor MR Recruitment 2021 Pay Scale :
During the initial training period of 12 weeks, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be provided to the selected candidates. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix and will be paid a salary of Rs. 21,700- Rs. 69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP Rs. 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable)
Indian Navy Sailor MR Recruitment 2021 Selection Process :
- Written Test
- Physical Fitness test
- Medical Examination
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their percentage on the 10th examination. Due to COVID-19, approximately 1750 candidates will be called for written test & PFT and 450 candidates will be provided with the call letter for Medical Examination.
Written Test :
- The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
- The question paper will comprise two sections i.e. Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.
- The standard of the question paper will be that of 10th level .
- Duration of the examination will be 30 minutes.
- All candidates appearing for written examination would be subjected to PFT on the same day.
Physical Fitness test :
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes
- 20 squats (Uthak Baithak)
- 10 Push-ups
Medical Examination :
Physical Details :
- Height- 157 cms(Minimum)
- Chest- 05 cms Chest Expansion (Minimum)
- Visual Standard- 6/6 (with/without glasses)
Tattoos :
Permanent body tattoos are only allowed on the inner face of forearms i.e from inside of the elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of the palm/ back (dorsal) side of the hand.
Merit List :
MR will be prepared based on performance in written examination subject to qualifying
Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Approximately 450 candidates will be issued call up letter for enrolment medical examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit.
Training :
The training for the course will commence in Oct 2021, with 12 weeks for Basic Training
at INS Chilka followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Naval Training Establishments. Branch/ Trade will be allocated as per the requirement of Service.
