UPSC Recruitment 2021 Education Qualification :
- The candidate must be passed Degree of a recognized university.
- EXPERIENCE : Three years experience of Administration or Accounts or Marketing or Public Relation or Insurance or Revenue or Tax related matters in a Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body.
Assistant Keeper :
- Master’s Degree in Anthropology from a recognized university or Institute.
- Diploma in Museology from a recognized university or Institute.
Fisheries Research Investigation Officer :
- Masters Degree in Zoology with specialization in Fisheries or M.F.Sc or M.Sc in Marine Biology or M.Sc in Industrial Fisheries or M.Sc in Aquaculture or M.Sc in Fisheries Science from recognized University of Institute.
Principal Officer (Engineering) cumJoint Director General (Technical) :
- Certificate of competency of Marine Engineer Officer Class-I(Steam or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in Section 78 of the Merchant Shipping act,1958(44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act and five year’s Service at sea of which one year service as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer.
- Post Graduate/M.Sc degree in Maritime Affairs/ Diploma in Maritime Operation and Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent and twelve years of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipments on board such ships.
Age Limits :
- Maximum Age : 35 Years
- Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.
UPSC Recruitment 2021 Pay Scale:
The Candidate should pay Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, Group ‘A’, (Non-Ministerial, Non-Gazetted).
Assistant Keeper :
- Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, General Central Service, Group-‘B’, Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)
Fisheries Research Investigation Officer :
- Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, General Central Services Group-“A” Gazetted.
Principal Officer (Engineering) cumJoint Director General (Technical) :
- Level- 14 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, General Central Services Group-“A” Gazetted
Conditions of Eligibility :
Nationality :
A candidate must be unmarried male and must be :
- (i) a citizen of India, or
- (ii) a subject of Nepal, or
- (iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii), above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
- Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
UPSC Recruitment 2021 Selection Process :
- Computer Based Test /Recruitment test
- Interview
Scheme of the Recruitment Test :
- The test will be of two hours duration and will comprise two parts A and B. Part-A contains English and Part-B contains General Ability. The questions in Part-B of the
- paper will be set both in Hindi and English.
- All questions will carry equal marks.
- The test will be objective type questions with multiple choices of answer.
- There will be penalty for wrong answers. Every wrong answer will carry a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question. If no answer is marked for a question, there will be no penalty for that question.

The syllabus of the Test broadly comprises the following topics :-

- Principles of Marketing Management.
- Principles of Accounting & Financial Management.

- Current Events of National and International Importance.
